To provide flexibility for the diverse student body at the George Washington University (GW), we provide programs off of our main campus in D.C. As a distance learner, you’ll still receive the same quality education and degree as your on-campus counterparts but can also take advantage of additional flexibility to ensure that graduate study fits into your lifestyle.
Off-Campus Programs
We offer programs in a number of locations in northern Virginia and around the D.C. area. You can study at a graduate education center in Arlington or Alexandria, or on our Virginia Science & Technology Campus (VSTC). Our off campus program participants still benefit from the same proximity and partnerships offered to other students at GW. For example,
Museum Studies students learn next door to the Smithsonian museums and alongside the National Mall.
Engineering Management students take advantage of the high-tech corridor in Loudoun County, the home of VSTC.
Legislative Affairs students hone their craft at the Hall of States on Capitol Hill.
Online Programs
GW offers a wide array of online degree opportunities, representing the range of our academic programs. From arts to public health to engineering and more, you can find a program that meets your interests and needs outside of graduate school. Additionally, many of our programs are offered in a hybrid format, so you have flexibility to take courses both online and on-campus.
